Support the Museum

Annual Gifts

An annual gift is an expression of support of the Museum’s mission — to inspire people to discover the wonders of science, math and technology. These gifts help the Museum fund the daily operating expenses of 40,000 square feet of exhibits and activities.

Gifts of all amounts are welcome. With an annual budget of $1.8 million, every gift helps. Your gift to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is an investment in tomorrow. Your generous gift will support the creation of new exhibits and will enhance our educational programming as we strive to inspire the young scientists, engineers and leaders of tomorrow.

Discover Science Assistance Fund

Gifts of support are used to help students visit the Museum or participate in an Outreach Program. Current economic conditions are affecting every school and Every day the Museum receives calls from schools that are facing challenges. Their challenges may range from decreasing budgets to families suffering from hardships. Yet teachers are determined to find a way to make a field trip possible and we want to help.

Several years ago, the Discover Science Assistance Fund was established to offer scholarships. Thanks to many donors, the fund continues to help area schools by awarding scholarships that reduce admission costs and lab fees, making the field trip a reality and great learning experience.

This fund is ongoing because the need to have scholarships available will continue. Our goal is to continually seek funds to continue to offer assistance.

Your help is needed to make this opportunity available to our community schools. A gift of $100 will help 20 children while a gift of $150 will help an entire class. We hope you can help. If so, we will add your name to our growing list of those who have helped.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact the Director of Development.
