Is this just a children’s museum?No, people of all ages enjoy the Museum. You are never too old to ignite your imagination! What are the Museum’s hours?The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on Sundays from Noon to 5pm. Rise and Shine Time: Open Tuesdays 9am. What are the admission rates for adults, children, seniors and students?Admission rates are $10 (ages 2 and up); children under 2 — free. Is there a group rate or a family rate?A scheduled group rate of 20 or more people is $5 per person. There is not a family rate. How can I pay for admission?The Museum accepts cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. Where do people park when visiting the Museum?Suggested parking is the Ann St. parking structure, located on E. Ann St. between Main St. and Ashley St. Another city owned parking structure is located on the corner of Fourth St. and Washington St. There are also parking meters along the streets near the Museum (free on Sunday). Does the Museum have a cafeteria?The Museum does not have a cafeteria, but there is a vending area with tables and chairs. Visitors may bring food along with them, but eating is allowed only in the vending area, located near the All About You gallery on the first floor. Are there any restaurants close to the Museum?Yes, there are many great places to eat within a few minutes walk. You may check with the admissions desk for maps and menus. Is it possible to leave the Museum and return that day?Admission is good for the day. If you wish to leave and return, you must show your receipt at the admissions desk at re-entry. Can I use my membership from another museum to visit the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum?Yes, the Museum participates in the ASTC passport program and the ACM reciprocal program. You must be a member of a fellow ASTC or ACM museum to receive free or reduced admission. Memberships from ASTC museums located within 90 miles will be charged 1/2 price admission. |
