Hands-On HAM Radio

Announcing a joint venture of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and amateur radio operators who live in and around Ann Arbor and southeastern Michigan.

  • establish a permanent amateur radio station at the Museum,
  • develop hands-on displays that teach Museum guests about radio and electronics, and
  • sponsor activities that are both fun and educational, including transmitter hunts, license classes and construction projects.

Get Involved!

To make Hands-On HAM Radio a success, we’re looking for more people to get involved. If you can spare some time, we could use your talents to set up and operate the station or talk to Museum visitors about amateur radio. If you don’t yet have a license, we encourage you to take one of our classes and get licensed.
