Kids have fun with Car Carnival May 15 – 16

ANN ARBOR, MI — Washtenaw Community College and the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum have teamed up for a weekend all about cars with Car Carnival, May 15 – 16. WCC faculty and students will teach children ages 3 to 13 (and their parents) about the world of cars and motorcycles with specially-designed stations placed throughout the museum. Children will experience fun hands-on experiments, activities, demonstrations and more! Activities will include:

Parent/child competitions including wheel changing, a spark plug challenge and reaction time.
Education al hands-on sessions that include spray with real point gun, kid-friendly pin striping, denting and dent removal on actual fenders.
Photo opportunities with welding gear and custom ATV.

“We had hundreds of children last year at the Car Carnival and they all had a great time!” says Rebecca Shackelford, public programs manager for the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. “We’re looking forward to seeing what WCC brings out this year.”
