Press ReleasesMay 12, 2010Kids have fun with Car Carnival May 15 – 16ANN ARBOR, MI — Washtenaw Community College and the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum have teamed up for a weekend all about cars with Car Carnival, May 15 – 16. WCC faculty and students will teach children ages 3 to 13 (and their parents) about the world of cars and motorcycles with specially-designed stations placed throughout the museum. Children will experience fun hands-on experiments, activities, demonstrations and more! Activities will include:
“We had hundreds of children last year at the Car Carnival and they all had a great time!” says Rebecca Shackelford, public programs manager for the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. “We’re looking forward to seeing what WCC brings out this year.” About the Ann Arbor Hands-On MuseumThe Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum provides more than 250 interactive exhibits that spark the imagination. The Museum is a regional destination attracting over 200,000 visitors every year. The mission of the Museum is to inspire people to discover the wonder of science, math and technology.
