Reciprocal Membership BenefitsReciprocity is a mutual exchange of privileges between two institutions. For example, one science center may allow free or reduced general admission to members of another science center. The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum offers reciprocal benefits with ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers) and ACM (Association of Children’s Museums). Members of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum enjoy different reciprocity benefits depending on their level of membership. The Family Membership level includes reciprocal benefits with ASTC. The Family Plus Membership level includes reciprocal benefits with ASTC and ACM. ASTC policy states that science centers and museums located within 90 miles of each other are excluded from the reciprocal program. Reciprocity with the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and ASTC institutions within 90 miles will be ½ off general admission by mutual agreement. Reciprocal benefits are determined by each institution, therefore, benefits may change at any time and without warning. We recommend that you call the institution you plan to attend to confirm their reciprocal status. For example, some museums may limit the number of adults and children or the family relationship of those given free admission. You will need to present your Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum Membership Card and your photo ID to be eligible for reciprocal benefits. Members of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum receive discounted admission to other ASTC museums within 90 miles. Please check with the museum you intend to visit for current admissions policies. |
