Outreach : Family Science Nights

Invite the whole school to an evening of fantastic, science-based fun and see why this is our most popular program. You provide 20 volunteers and we’ll fill 20 of your tables with creative hands-on activities. Educators and families love this casual, self-directed evening of fun science activities. All activities are linked to the 2007 Michigan Science Grade Level Content Expectations. Discount coupons for a visit to the Museum for all participants!

All Family Science Nights

Serves up to 500 total participants
$850, plus a mileage fee of $0.75 per mile, for 2 hours (additional hours available)

Special Family Science Night: Young Scientist Evening

Get your preschoolers engaged in science early. This collection of ten activities is great for the youngest of scientists. Activities range from learning how to measure, to animal adaptations, to mixing colors.

$425, plus a mileage fee of $0.75 per mile, for 2 hours (additional hours available)
Includes 10 hands-on experiments, 6 stations each
Open house format encourages leisurely family exploration
