FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – SEPTEMBER 2, 2015 – ANN ARBOR, MICH. -- The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, a statewide leader in informal science education for kids, is now a place for adults to blow off a little STEAM as well. The Museum is holding an exclusive adults-only night, A Pint at the Museum, on Friday, September 25, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., featuring craft beer from Wolverine State Brewing Co. and food from Knight’s on Liberty and People’s Food Co-op & Café Verde.
Wolverine’s brew experts will be on hand to answer questions about making—and drinking—the perfect pint. Attendees will enjoy great beer and food while exploring the Museum and creating amazing art by dripping alcohol ink on ceramic tiles.
“People often think of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum as a children’s science museum,” says Cory Joyrich, senior director of advancement, “but in reality it’s for people of all ages. Adults often have as much fun as their kids, both in discovering the wonder of science through their child’s eyes and through engaging with the exhibits themselves.”
Tickets for A Pint At The Museum are $25 for nonmembers, $20 for members, and available only by reservation. Attendees must be 21 or older. Ticket includes one pint of beer, food, one commemorative pint glass, one alcohol ink tile, and full access to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum for the evening. Additional craft beers will be available for purchase at the event.
